Lea Cohen, a former Nascar pit member, now directs artists and some of Boston's most creative minds in her organization "ArtsBrookline." Cohen has lived in Brookline and still cannot grow tired of the dualities of rural and urban. Art has always been a part of her life. As a child, Cohen took classes at the MFA while her passion for art hungered for more. She eventually graduated from Boston University with a degree in Art History. Cohen was always drawn to visual art and architecture such as Queen Anne houses, but like all aesthetics, her's became more contemporary. She now finds herself more interested in modern art. Her favorite things about Brookline include: it is a city surrounded by Boston, the walk to the waterfront, and the large farm. The ArtsBrookline mission statement is, "To make Brookline a premiere arts destination. They strive to bring art to the public, but also allow the public to promote their own art through ArtsBrookline.
